The comfortable sitting room is on the ground floor of the mill, a large round room with arches and floating spiral stairs lead the way to two further floors.

KITCHEN

Under a large wooden cathedral ceiling this Instagrammable kitchen is a cook’s dream and has been used by the owner for cooking demonstrations and classes. The large cooking island is central to the room, it has a fitted gas cooktop, ample shelving underneath, huge food preparation counter space and a convivial breakfast bar for 4-6.

The walls are fitted with open shelving and the kitchen is fitted with stainless steel GE profile appliances. It is fully equipped with all flatware, glassware and tableware.

There is also a formal dining table for 8-10.

GUEST BEDROOM

The ground floor twin bedded guest room is off the sitting room and has doors opening on to the terrace. It has a traditional Caribbean wooden ceiling with cooling fan.

The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a shower and a relaxing bathtub.

TERRACE

A large ground floor terrace wraps around all the ground floor rooms, all of which open directly on to it.

The covered terrace houses a built in Vermont Castings BBQ with outside casual dining for 10 – the perfect spot for whiling away the day reading or simply gazing at the stunning views over the gardens.

The top floor study is the perfect retreat – comfortably installed at the bespoke circular desk, whilst gazing out of the top floor windows, allows for the peace and space to get to grips with whatever life throws at you. This room is a perfect spot for the executive or the dreamer!

GUEST COTTAGE

The two storey guest cottage houses two individual 1 bedroom units. Built in traditional Caribbean “Blouse and Skirt” style, it benefits from its own entrance enabling it to be accessed independently from the main house, creating privacy and the ability for them to be rented without impacting residents or guests at the Mill.

The downstairs unit has a bedroom, en suite bathroom and open plan sitting room and kitchen. It opens on to the garden and has a small covered patio.

The upstairs unit includes a larger bedroom, with four poster bed, which opens onto a verandah. There is a airy open plan sitting room and kitchen, which open onto a second covered verandah and bathroom off the hallway.

SWIMMING POOL

Set in some of the stone ruins this inviting 47’ foot pool is a highlight of this property. It has been designed for lap swimming at different depths, water games and has its own solar farm to keep it the perfect temperature! The pool is salt water, has underwater lighting and a auto cleaning system and is set in a wonderful volcanic stone deck with spectacular views to be enjoyed while swimming or sunbathing.

GARAGE

The two car garage has automatic overhead doors and is fully stocked with all tools needed to maintain the property.

CISTERNS

Delicious rainwater straight from the heavens is collected on the roofs of the Mill and cottage. It is stored in 5 huge underground cisterns and filtered for all household use and has enough capacity to provide water for the household year round.

GARDEN

Cheslea Flower Show gold medallist Julie Toll designed the gardens, which meander around the buildings and are accentuated with various restored ruins including the only Jamaica Train in Nevis which was used for sugar boiling in its various stages, a photogenic gazebo and even a privy! Julie also included a caged vegetable garden and composting site.

Jeff Wroth of Dreamscapes Caribbean designed the fruit orchard section, the upper level of the garden and shade house for propagating as well as the exterior lighting design.
